Creating Wellness In Your Busy Life by Katie-Rose Meehan

Green Smoothies – The time saving, efficient way to bring wellness into your busy life

Many of us, especially those of us that run our own businesses, often don’t find it easy to find the time to fill our days with healthy lifestyle choices.

We would love to be able to take care of ourselves and our loved ones in the best way possible but gosh darn it, where do we find the time amongst our hectic schedule?

If this is the case with you then the simple green smoothie might just be the solution you have been looking for.

I’m not sure if you have noticed, but green smoothies are slowly but surely taking the world by storm!

More and more people each day are cottoning on to their incredible health benefits and the way in which they can transform our health, energy levels and even mood from the inside out.

And the wonderful thing about green smoothies for us super busy business guys and gals is that they actually save us time in the kitchen!

Green smoothies take under five minutes to prepare (including clean up time). This is a lot faster than juicing and a lot faster than cooking.

Just imagine no piles of dishes to scrub and clean…just rinse the blender and away you go.

Green smoothies are filling which means they can easily be used as a quick, healthy meal replacement (which means they are also great for those of us that are watching our weight).

You can make your green smoothie fresh every day or to be even more time efficient make a big batch all at once and keep it in the fridge. Green smoothies last for up to three days when refrigerated.

A lot of people like to keep their green smoothies in jars with lids for freshness and convenience.

A handy time saving tip is to make up six jars of green smoothie and keep them in the fridge. This will last you for three days, with one smoothie in the morning and one for the afternoon.

Here are just some of the incredible health benefits that green smoothies can bring you:

Increase energy
Reduce or eliminate cravings for junk food
Weight loss
Improve mental clarity
Defy aging and reduce wrinkles
Improve hair, skin and nails
Alleviate depression
Remove toxins from the body
Balance blood pressure
May assist in defence and recovery from cancer and other major health conditions
High in fibre
Rich in chlorophyll and antioxidants
Boost the immune system
Increase digestive efficiency
Reduce acne
Reduce cravings for coffee and caffeine

So if you would like to try these miraculous little powerhouse drinks for yourself here are two perfect beginner’s green smoothie recipes that are easy peasy to make and absolutely delicious!

Simple Starter Smoothie
2 to 3 cups of orange juice
2 packed cups of lettuce leaves

2 packed cups of baby spinach

And if you want to get a bit fancy and really supercharge your health then try this decadent recipe that incorporates the superfoods goji berries, bee pollen and raw chocolate (yes the rumours are true….chocolate is one of the healthiest foods on the planet, but only when it is raw and unprocessed).

Green smoothies are truly a revolution in health and wellness.

I personally rave about green smoothies and have dedicated myself to educating everyone I can about them because they cured me of the depression and fatigue that I had suffered with for ten years.  I tried so many other methods….green smoothies were the only thing that really worked!

I hope this article has inspired you to get started on your green smoothie journey today.

There is not better time than the present so dust off your blender and start blitzing your way to a healthier, happier and radiantly energised you!

  1. Wow, I had no idea you actually made green smoothies with real greens! Sounds silly but I thought you had to buy some sort of powder from the health food store. Thanks for sharing this post Sam, I'll try one of these in my busy day tomorrow.
